OUR MISSION
Our mission is to teach children in a safe, healthy and inclusive space where we use Nature Immersion, Montessori and Waldorf style teaching pedagogy to create responsibility, confidence and independence within students.
Vashon Art and Nature School strongly believes these skills will help prepare your child for a successful future. Vashon Art and Nature School teaches community building, science, mathematics, reading, writing, and art through self-directed experiences, teacher led lessons and interactive play.
We offer a range of activities for your children to choose from to meet each child’s individual learning needs. This mix of influence provides a rich educational experience that reinforces the benefits of slowing down to maintain the “sense of wonder” that helps children thrive.
LOCATION
Conveniently located on Vashon’s southwest side, Vashon Art and Nature School is nestled at the end of ten acres.
This location is special because it offers forest, field and orchard for outside play. We are primarily an outdoor program with a cozy historic cabin for indoor time we go into twice a day.
